Stack of antique metal storage boxes

Probably made for holding cash or documents, the painted boxes are all unique – three with brass detail, three with compartmental inserts (can be lifted out and used elswhere), three with padlockable latches, three with later bun feet made from embossed metal buttons and all featuring owner's initials – either painted, impressed or applied.
